چکیده
The study aimed at undertaking preliminary phytochemical studies and antifungal activities of Lawsonia inermis leaf extracts against clinical Candida isolates from female patients attending Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) Lafia, Nasarawa State. HVS (High Vaginal Swab) samples were collected 185 subjects transported to the laboratory for analysis. Microbial culture isolations done on Sabouraud dextrose agar (SDA), Blood agar, Potato (PDA) broth. Identification was following standard guideline identification including microscopic, cultural biochemical characteristics (sugar utilization fermentation). Antifungal susceptibility tests plant different concentrations carried out isolates. Distilled water ketoconazole drug served as negative positive control respectively. Zones inhibitions, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) fungicidal (MFC) determined. Data analysed Minitab 16.0 software descriptive (mean with error) inferential statistics Chi Square 95% confidence limit. In conclusion, L.inermis has been shown have properties since it contained quality phytochemicals in sufficient quantity that may be explored synthesis drugs some species Candida. This finding is crucial management candidiasis study.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the antibacterial activity of henna (Lawsonia inermis Linn) obtained from different regions of Oman against a wide array of micro-organisms. METHODS Fresh henna samples were obtained from different regions of Oman as leaves and seeds. 100 g fresh and dry leaves and 50 g of fresh and dry seeds were separately soaked in 500 mL of ethanol for three days, respectively, wi...
متن کاملEffect of Plant Growth Regulators on Rooting of Henna (Lawsonia Inermis L.)
Studies have shown that rooting substrate is one of the effective factors at rooting of hard rhizogenetic plant such as Henna. The purpose of this study is to determine an appropriate concentration of Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA), Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) and salicylic acid (SA) on Rooting of Henna. Present study showed that there was a great variation in most of the measured characters at P<...
